So, you’ve been rafting all day and now you want nothing more than to tuck into a meal of the best food Cleveland has to offer. We definitely understand that. Here is a list of our favorite places to eat in Cleveland and a rundown of their incredible offerings.
If you are searching for fine Italian dining, you don’t want to miss out on a meal at Café Roma, Cleveland’s first fine dining restaurant. Stop by for lunch or dinner and allow the chefs and staff to delight you with gourmet appetizers, pastas, chicken, seafood, and desserts. Keep and eye on the Events section of their website to reserve a spot at one of their five course wine dinners hosted throughout the year!

Did your run down the river inspire a craving for fish? When you reserve a table at the Catch Bar and Grill you’ll encounter a modern coastal dining menu that’s wildly unique. The restaurant owner’s passion for fresh seafood founded a menu that features dishes varying from true New Orleans style Oyster Po-Boys to Japanese Blue-Fin tuna. Located in historic downtown Cleveland, the restaurant building itself and surrounding area is as much of a treat as the food!
True at BHB
True at BHB adds a creative twist on modern southern cuisine. True proudly boasts its use of local ingredients grown in the heart of Tennessee in their dishes. Bread and side dishes are cooked in a hearth, entrees are finished off with handcrafted sauces and yes, you can get your fries with rosemary, Parmesan and truffle oil. If you’re having a hard time choosing off the menu, the Ugly Burger and the Chicken Schnitzel come highly recommended. Bonus, you can even order online!
A quick stop and a popular place for lunch is Gardener’s Market on Broad Street where the homemade food and excellent customer service are both top notch. A distinct artisan vibe, over 60 deli sandwich options, and various baked goods lure in students, locals and tourists alike. If you’re thirsty, don’t skip out on the blackberry lemonade, it’s a crowd favorite!

Stack Southern Bistro
Hamburgers have evolved. Fresh beef ground in house daily cooked to perfection and served on a house made bun is only the beginning- just wait for the mind blowing toppings and sides, you’ll be drooling on the menu. Or, maybe you’re in the mood to unwind or celebrate with friends. Stack has one of the most extensive bars in the Southeast. Whatever you’re in the mood for, Stack is the place for comfort food and a comfortable environment.
Maybe you’ve never seen wings fly off a plate before, but at Stadium BBQ, they certainly seem to. Burgers, BBQ and wings are the heart of this beloved diner with a charming hometown atmosphere. Tried and true local favorite dishes can be found on the Stadium’s Hall of Fame menu board. If your sweet tooth is yelling for some attention, you MUST try Stadium’s fried pies. Be forewarned though, they are highly addicting!
We hope you enjoy some of our favorite restaurants and diners while you’re in the Cleveland area. Please remember that while alcoholic beverages are fine with your meal after your rafting trip, please don’t arrive buzzed to your booked adventure or bring any alcohol with you as it is prohibited on the river. If you have any other mind-blowing restaurants to add to our list of best places to eat in Cleveland, let us know!
